Clayton makes autobiographical works across a variety of mediums. Having relocated to New Zealand after 15 years in Australia, his latest works draw on that change.
Using his art practice as a means of self evolution, Clayton often finds out what he is doing only after the fact. He works in a variety of mediums from photography to painting to (currently) furniture - with a twist!
At heart the works are autobiographical with a whimsy... following the mantra "if art is anything, it is the highest form of hope"... something needed at this juncture in human history.
